This holiday season, in celebration of our 25th year, we’re changing things up. Instead of our traditional winter recital, we’re putting on The NuttyCracker — and dancers can either join the production or simply keep taking class without the commitment of performing.

We’re taking the timeless story of The Nutcracker and giving it a CSDA makeover. Expect familiar favorites, brand-new characters, pop culture–inspired moments, and plenty of surprises designed to make today’s dancers (and audiences!) feel right at home. It’s a winter classic… with a little extra sparkle, a little extra sass, and a whole lot of heart.

The production is open to dancers enrolled in select recreational classes, as well as our NuttyCracker-specific classes, where they’ll rehearse their roles, build confidence, develop performance skills, and become part of what we hope will be a brand-new CSDA holiday tradition.

For many dancers, being in a show like The Nutcracker is a lifelong dream, but their schedule is jam-packed and fitting in something extra can be a challenge. With that in mind, we’re also offering a few shorter classes completely focused on NuttyCracker choreography — those are marked in grey on the schedule below.
